Where road users include pedestrians, the provision of supplemental audible information or detectable Barriers or Barricades should be considered for people with visual disabilities. Detectable barriers or barricades communicate very clearly to pedestrians who have visual disabilities that they can no longer proceed in the direction that they are traveling.
