- The 3M™ Premium Protective Overlay Film Series 1160i2 offers the same base film and UV protection as the 3M™ ElectroCut™ Series 1170C. This is expected to provide digital inks with a level of protection and durability comparable to the well-established performance of the 1170C. Additionally, the 1160i2 is designed to be stiffer than 1160i2, eliminating the need for premask and offering
ease of handling similar to 1170C.
- When used as part of 3M's system of matched components for digitally printed signing, finished sign faces are backed by the 3M™MCS™ Warranties.
- Application of the overlaminate to a sign fabricated using 3M’s matched component systems will remain legible when viewed from a moving vehicle under normal day and night driving conditions by resisting excessive fading, discoloring, cracking, peeling, and blistering for the warranty period.
- Many types of defacement from vandalism can be cleaned from this film to restore function and appearance of the overlayed sign.
- Durable, UV and graffiti resistant protective overlay film, with a clear pressure-sensitive adhesive. It is applied as a protective overlay to signs made from 3M™ Reflective Sheetings.
