- Option(XX): (3A) Aluminum Base for 3" OD Round or 3" Square Aluminum Post
- NOTE: This base must be ordered with the post and is not sold separately.
- This base plate is designed by Custom Products Corporation to be welded to a Round or Square Post and then powder painted.
- The extra large 11.5" plate diameter gives ample room for most bases to be installed without interfering with the bolts.
- The bolts remain exposed, however, the .375" thick steel plate and the .5" thick aluminum plate each have four gussets welded together onto the post to provide a very strong mount.

Installation Notes on the Challenge of Anchoring to Asphalt: Asphalt is gravel held together with oily pitch ("Bitumen"). Unlike concrete, asphalt will yield to forces applied for extended amount of time. For this reason, the common expansion anchors (which are used on concrete) can not be used for fastening to asphalt. Any expansion anchor installed in asphalt will loosen and fail within days.
